Keeping Georgia Safe, Strong and Thriving
"The government should embody the will of the people, and I am dedicated to ensuring that it reflects the collective voice of our community, not the interests of a few."
Representative Jordan Ridley
This year marks two decades of Republican leadership in Georgia’s House of Representatives. Over the years, we’ve worked to strengthen our state’s economy, invest in our communities and uphold policies that keep Georgia thriving. As we move forward in 2025, our focus remains on delivering practical solutions that benefit all Georgians.
Family are foundational and keeping Georgia families safe remains a top priority. I will continue to work to support the officers who protect us, enhancing security infrastructure and leveraging technology to ensure a safer future for all Georgians. Every decision I make in this chamber is rooted in the goal of improving your safety and prosperity.
Every child deserves a quality education in a safe and supportive environment, free from distractions that take away from learning and growth. That's why this year's focus is on strengthening school security, expanding access to mental health services, improving literacy rates and ensuring fairness in girls' athletics.
WHAT A WONDERFUL "DAY"
It was my distinct honor to welcome Fr. Ben Day, Rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Kennesaw, as Chaplain of the Day for the Georgia House of Representatives on January 30th.
Fr. Ben’s words service and sacrifice rang true throughout the chamber and I'm highly confident that Fr. Ben will be welcomed back to the House very soon.

PRESIDENT TRUMP SIGNS FIRST BILL OF NEW ADMINISTRATION
Last week President Trump signed his first bill of his new term. The Laken Riley Act, named after 22 year-old Georgia nursing student, Laken Riley who was murdered by an illegal alien on the University of Georgia’s campus 1 year ago this month.
The Laken Riley Act, which received bipartisan support, mandates the detention of unauthorized immigrants accused of theft and violent crimes.Together, we’re shaping a brighter future for District 22 and for all of Georgia. Let’s keep working to ensure our communities remain safe, prosperous and empowered.
Thank you to Representative Mike Collins for passing the Laken Riley Act through Congress. In Georgia, we were proud to pass the Georgia Criminal Alien Track and Report Act in 2024 to require local law enforcement to comply with ICE. Read More Here >>
